Epta Technica at the EU ENOUGH Project Workshop

EU ENOUGH Project Retail Workshop

Epta Technica joined a powerful lineup of researchers, technology providers, and industry experts at the EU ENOUGH Project Retail Workshop, hosted at London South Bank University. The workshop is part of a wider European project focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions across the food supply chain by 2030 – and it brought the right people into the room and the right questions to the table.

Epta at London South Bank University

Representing Epta, Jordan Tomes and Matthew Crolla took to the stage to share fresh insights into the commercial refrigeration landscape and the innovation shaping our path forward.

Jordan delivered a snapshot of the current market – highlighting the role of legislation, the pace of growth, and what it all means for decarbonisation strategies. He raised the key question: Is this growth setting us up for a low-carbon future, or are we building a house of cards that will need to be rebuilt down the line?

Matt followed with a behind-the-scenes look at our XTE trial, showing how it performs in live environments and what it could mean for supermarkets looking to future-proof their operations. As always, his delivery cut through the technical to focus on what matters most – impact and outcomes.

The event closed with a vibrant debate on the role of supermarkets in reducing emissions across the cold chain, and what still needs to happen to create a truly sustainable and skilled industry. A huge thank you to the EU ENOUGH team and the Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) for making it such a meaningful and collaborative day.
