Today, Epta UK continues to build on this heritage, delivering tailored, energy-efficient solutions for retailers and businesses across Britain.

George Barker: Innovating Refrigeration Since 1928
Founded in 1928, George Barker quickly became a trusted name in custom-made refrigerated cabinets and systems. Known for its technical expertise and manufacturing flexibility, the brand established a strong reputation in the UK retail market. In 1999, George Barker joined the Epta Group, unlocking new opportunities through R&D collaboration and access to industry-leading refrigeration technology.

Cold Service: Decades of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Expertise
Starting as a local business in 1956, Cold Service grew into a nationally recognised provider of turnkey refrigeration and air conditioning systems. By the time it became part of the Epta Group in 2014, Cold Service was already a leader in installation and maintenance, working with major retailers, food-to-go businesses, coffee shops, and HoReCa brands.
