Epta UK, history of the Commercial Refrigeration and HVACR services
The Heritage of Epta UK
Epta UK was created when Cold Service joined George Barker within the Epta Group to form a new nationwide company supplying commercial refrigeration, air conditioning systems, after sales and maintenance services to the market in Great Britain.
George Barker, specialised in commercial refrigeration since 1928
Founded in 1928, the George Barker brand earned a strong reputation as a designer and manufacturer of custom-made refrigerated cabinets and systems. In time the brand became synonymous with a high level of technical expertise and great manufacturing flexibility for the UK retail market. In 1999 George Barker joined the Epta group. GB capitalised on the experience of its own R&D department and the knowledge and products within the rest of the Group to develop cutting-edge technical solutions.

Epta UK has a leading role in the market through the ability to design, install and service complex refrigeration projects as integrated systems with a full range of options, from display cabinets to medium and large-capacity refrigeration packs and cold rooms.
