Celebrating the Women of Epta UK

Female Epta Service

Women play an important role in shaping the refrigeration industry, bringing a range of skills, experiences and perspectives to the work we do every day. At Epta UK, we're proud to recognise the women across our business and the contributions they make to our teams, customers and the wider industry.

On 22 October, Epta UK colleagues Chelsie Holdsworth and Louise Metcalfe attended a special afternoon tea at the House of Lords to mark World Refrigeration Day, joining industry representatives to discuss women's experiences and the future of the refrigeration sector.

As a sponsor of World Refrigeration Day, Epta had the opportunity to be represented at the event, which focused on the experiences of women working in the industry and the challenges surrounding recruitment and retention.

The afternoon included the launch and discussion of important work exploring women's experiences within the sector, providing an opportunity to share perspectives and consider how the industry can better support women throughout their careers.

The event highlighted the importance of creating an inclusive industry where people can develop their skills, progress in their careers and contribute to the future of refrigeration.

Celebrating the women behind Epta UK

Continuing this focus, during Global HVACR Women Week 2026, we shone a spotlight on four women from across Epta UK, sharing their experiences of working in the industry, their career journeys and what they enjoy most about their roles.

Through a series of colleague profiles, we explored the variety of opportunities available within HVACR and heard first-hand perspectives on working in the sector, alongside advice for other women considering a career in the industry.

Each profile offered a different insight into life at Epta, highlighting the people behind our work and the different paths that can lead to a career in refrigeration. Profiles can be found at the bottom of this page or on Linkedin.

Building a more inclusive future

At Epta, we recognise that the future of refrigeration depends on more than technological progress. The people who drive innovation, share their expertise and support customers are equally important to the industry's continued development.

By sharing the experiences of women within our own business and taking part in wider industry conversations, we can help raise awareness of the opportunities available and the importance of attracting and retaining talent across the sector.

From the colleagues sharing their career stories during Global HVACR Women Week to Chelsie and Louise representing Epta UK at the House of Lords, these initiatives reflect the importance of recognising women's contributions and continuing the conversation about the future of our industry.
